So in Florida, a prosecutor got busted for a naked prank gone ary. Yahoo! News is carrying the AP article, Naked Frolic Lands Prosecutor in Jail.

Altogether, not really honest news, I mean, we’ve all done stupid things drunk (if you happen to drink), though I must admit I’ve never done that. But my favorite quote was from the prosecutors spokesperson, Matt Helmerick, who said:

“The devil made him do it”

I disagree, the devil didn’t make him do shit. The guy was a dumbass and got busted for it. If you say, something closer to:

His personal demons got the best of him

Then I would be placated, as that is an acceptable excuse, or about as acceptable as possible. Instead, they blame it on the devil, shirking the guys person responsibility. This is disheartening coming from a prosecutors office. I can see the next headline,

Prosecutor’s office drops charges of murder for local man, says murder was devil’s fault

Yeah, that works. right.

*Note, I’m not saying the guy should be hung up, just exposing on my thoughts on the way the attorney general’s office is treating the situation.
