Ok, I’m a pen-flipper. I like playing with my pen all day at work, twirling it around like a little 10-year-old girl (or 15-year-old gay man) twirls a little baton. Its stupid, but addicting. But I ain’t got shit on the guys in this video. Holy shit. Some pretty bad […]

Barbara and the piercing ignorant column
September 27th, 2005 · No Comments
Barbara Brotman has a column on her daughters belly-button piercing experience over at the Trib.
I must say Barbara, for a reporter you obviously did not really do a whole lot of research into piercings. I, obviously, am a piercing novice, my wife on the other hand is not. From her, and Scott at […]

Charlie Weis and Pass Right

When I started to write this I thought, there are not many instances where the articles on ESPN.com are going to bring a tear to my eye. But then I started thinking about how many sports moments have been so intensely emotional that you have trouble doing the manblink (my definition btw).
Today, my gut […]

I can thank John Scalzi’s Whatever post about a book by his friend.
I read Peeps over the weekend and must say it is a thoroughly enjoyable book. It was written in a very conversational style that lent itself to a being a very very fast read. The book was particularly interesting in the […]

The Sudoku Craze!
September 23rd, 2005 · No Comments
The Trib has a little write-up on the sudoku phenomenon. The Trib mentioned the pay site sudoku.com, but personally I prefer to play at websudoku.com, as it is free. It also has a timer and can show you how you rank against other people on the same difficulty level puzzle. uber addicting!

The glimmer and glint of the young professional
September 19th, 2005 · No Comments
When I ride the train I thoroughly enjoy people-watching. Its actually a favorite pastime of mine. I like to just sit there and observe, or in this mornings case, stand there, and observe. I like to see peoples body language, where their eyes are looking, comparing their actual voice, to the voice […]

Some post-trip analysis
September 15th, 2005 · No Comments
Justin has a pretty good roundup of the Baton Rouge trip. Its pretty detailed, and with the exception of the River Center, I was with him about the whole time.
I also got some pictures from Dale and Company in my email this morning. I’ll hopefully find some time today to get them posted.
