So, yesterday I was all excited. I was going to hopefully be driving home a 2006 BMW 325i. All I had to do was get a decent amount on my 2002 Ford Focus SVT on trade to be able to do it. I still owe about $8,000 on the Focus, so I was looking to get between $9,500 and $10,000 for it on trade. As it turns out, they were only willing to give me $8,000 on the trade. Even right? Then I’ve just a down-payment to make and I’m set right? Wrong, they were going to charge me the tax for selling them my car, thats right, so my trade paid off my loan, but then I had to carry the $2500 sales tax bill as well.

Needless to see, things did not go my way, and as such I now will be keeping the focus for an indefinite amount of time.

On the bright side, we did buy new living room furniture last night. After the BMW fiasco we went to Harlem Furniture up on Elston, here.

We got a sofa and love seat from the Emerald City collection. It gets delivered on Saturday, and we are quite excited. Of course, this also means we have to totally clean out our living room and get rid of some old furniture.
