Firefox 2.0

I’m in love with a software program. The new version of Firefox is pretty damned slick. In fact, it has built in spell checking on forms. I even just misspelled spell checking and it corrected me (after right-clicking). To download the latest version of Firefox, goto http://mozilla.org/firefox/.

    Help me please…
I just installed Firefox 2.0, and all of a sudden, my username/password isn't being inserted in the signon window (it always was before). I tried the usual suspects–I did not mistakenly tell FF not to remember the password for this site; and I also tried the remember password bookmarklet, but all to no avail–FF will not ask me to remember this password. What do I need to do to get around this?

That is strange. Is it remembering your username but not password? I know some websites (like Banks for example) will remember your username but not your password as a security measure, which albeit mildly annoying, has its purposes.

It could be that older version of FF didn’t play nice with those kinds of sites and would remember the PW anyway, and the new version doesn’t behave the same. Failing that I would suggest the Firefox support pages for more information.
