Damn. So close. In IIS the permalink structure doesn’t work right away as I have it set up….and because my site has been around a while and been indexed with the permalink setup, I want to keep the same architecture.
So…that means that I need to make it work in IIS, but IIS doesn’t support Mod_rewrite, and the new host isn’t about to use apache….so, I found a few ways to do it, but in order to be successful I need to specify a custom 404 page that will try to redirect based on my permalink structure.
Problem is, don’t know how in Helm 3.2.10…I know its supported in Helm 4, but I don’t know if my service is going to upgrade to that, or if they allow the custom 404. We’ll try to get it figured out today though.
Once the whole site is working correctly I’ll write up what I had to go through to get the site completely working.
