3 Cities, A Burial, and a Flight Delay

May 17th, 2007 · 2 Comments

Its about 4:30am CST right now, and Clint and I just got into our hotel room in San Francisco. Its been a whirlwind of a week so far, and just in the last 24 hours I’ve been in 3 big cities, 1 airport, a screwed up flight reservation, 4 major highways, one graveside service, one Catholic mass, a 2 hour flight delay, a bumpy flight, one screening of Bridge to Terabithia, a new Dodge Nitro, one HOT sobbing girl trying to get to Singapore, a hotel receptionist that spoken VERY broken english, a sobbing mother and father, one Bud Light and one Corona, 3 highway tolls, one trade paperback comic book, a pushy Asian woman, two guys also in town for Maker’s Faire, and a guy that looked eerily like Borat. If that is not a day that just never ends, well, you’re almost right. I’m getting ready to head to bed, but obviously after a very very full day.

For those curious as to parts of this, my Grandmother, Elizabeth Clara McNelis passed at 3am Monday morning, so we got to do funeral stuff….well, yesterday, and wake stuff the day before….makes for a very eventful week.

Time for sleep now though. Adios.

I’m glad you made it in ok, although VERY early in the morning. Thanks for texting me and letting me know you were safe. Your cat is a freak, just so you know, and be sure to either call Dennis or remember to call him when you get home. He has a really fun story to share.
