Finally wrote SOMETHING new…been a bit of a dryspell…more specifically, it was back on November 14th that I last wrote something.

I want to live
in a brick sided building
with a roof and a ceiling
I want to make it my home
Maybe have a dog
Maybe throw him a bone

Let me unlatch my gate
you’ll see in my yard
the landscaping was very hard
I’ll open up my door
step right on in
I promise its not a sin

I saw you sitting on the stoop
with my neighbors
from across the street
they’re a young couple
with big ideals
like saving the seals

Come into my bed
the covers are rumpled
the sheets unset
We will make the bed
come the morning time
after sunlight breaks the ledge

It still needs a chorus of some type….but I think it might work out.
